Volvo is making it all about you. From their new global tagline, "Built Around You" to the new concept they've just unveiled in Frankfurt, which is named after you. No, really...it's actually called the You.

The Volvo Concept You is part of the Swedish automaker's strategy to take a significant share of the luxury auto market, over the next few years. To successfully meet this goal, Volvo will, of course, have to revamp their entire model lineup. And, the Concept You embodies the direction of Volvo's most imminent luxury sedan.

Picking up where the Volvo Concept Universe left off, the Volvo Concept You is infused with a provocative blend of smart pad technology and eminent technologies. Peter Horbury, VP Design, Volvo shares, "The [Volvo] Concept You explores new territories in our search for the ultimate intuitive car that makes the owner's manual a thing of the past. Smart phones and smart pads have brought mobile infotainment into a new era. Here, we use a number of touch-screens to replace buttons and controls in order to make the driver totally connected, totally in control..."¹.

Horbury goes on to explain that in addition to lending a greater element of convenience to drivers, the use of smart pad technology also creates a highly desirable uncluttered interior. The sleek exterior of the Volvo Concept You is the perfect reflection of just how streamlined it is. With a roofline that rakes all the back to the rear headlamps, it offers a very sophisticated, sexy look. If forced to compare it to other cars on the road, we'd say it looks something akin to a classic jag or Porsche.

But, don't let the luxe look and feel fool you. Even with its "suicide doors", touch control center, "Fresh Air" subwoofer, transitional interior color scheme, chrome-free leather and Dinamica ecological suede appointments, the Volvo Concept You is a Volvo, though and through. And, with that comes time-tested reliability and ground-breaking safety.
